We moved to Woodbine Farm in 2007 after years of contemplating starting up a smallholding business. After much research, we soon purchased our first 6 breeding alpacas and also began work on renovating our 17th century farmhouse. Situated in 20 acres of beautiful countryside on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, 8 miles from Diss, our alpaca farm is now home to around 60 quality huacaya alpacas. Located in the Eastern Counties, we operate in a TB free area.
At Woodbine Farm our aim is to continue to improve the quality of our animals and their fleece by careful and selective breeding. To help enhance our herd we now have our own great selection of quality stud males in a variety of colours and characteristics including our recently imported elite Australian black alpaca, Jacomo, who arrives with a superb pedigree bringing a new line of genetics to the UK. Producing his first offspring in 2013 is the exceptional white Endor, grandson of the legendary Ruffo, who has clearly inherited many of his fine qualities. We also have two homebred males, Digby and Dijon, who have achieved some outstanding results in the show ring and will begin working in 2014.
We are able to offer good quality breeding females, companion animals and pets in all colours, ranging from black to brown, fawn and white. All our animals have been halter trained and for those customers that are new to alpacas we provide regular training sessions and we are always available to give advice whenever it is needed. Our animals are all microchipped and registered with the British Alpaca Society. Please take a look at our sales page for prices and availability.
Our latest batch of fleece has now been processed and we sell this as 100g balls of gorgeous aran yarn in 6 natural colours. See our Online Shop to find out how you can purchase these items. We also sell 1kg bags of fleece at £15 for hand spinners and felters.
